We've been working with Dobbies Garden Centres since 2021 to grow their business through unexpected & unforgettable spring and Christmas campaigns. Check out a selection of our work (and results) below.
Spring It On!
For spring 2022, we were tasked with creating an insight-driven campaign that resonated with a new breed of post-pandemic gardeners.
We celebrated the diversity of today's gardeners and embraced the optimism of the season with Spring It On! In a burst of colour, energy and excitement, our hero film featured a series of vignettes that every type of gardener could relate to - from experienced horticulturalists to those buying their very first houseplant.
Where Great Value Comes To Life
For Christmas 2022, we needed to position Dobbies as a magical, must-visit destination during the festive period (within the backdrop of a cost of living crisis).
We seeded the warmth and special festive spirit of Dobbies, starting with a beautiful, magic bauble. From mainstream shoppers to traditional gardeners, our charming campaign raised awareness of the garden centre as an accessible alternative to the average Christmas shopping experience.
We drove 96m impressions over the festive period, up 63% YOY and resulting in increased brand awareness. Crucially, the cost-per-store footfall was the lowest value to-date for any seasonal campaign.
Spring's A Big Deal
Our task for spring 2023 was to position Dobbies as a must-visit, value-for-money destination, while helping shoppers navigate the cost of living crisis.
We amplified the season's arrival by showing flowers as tall as skyscrapers, seeds the size of cars, and secateurs so sizable you need the whole family to carry them; because getting a good deal gives even the smallest of products a seriously BIG significance. Our approach showed that Dobbies is a democratising force, offering great quality products, so you can experience the joy of spring on any budget.
Find Your Christmust
Our challenge for Christmas 2024 was to drive footfall and increase brand awareness by positioning Dobbies as a must-visit destination during retail’s most competitive time of year.
Against the backdrop of a challenging few years when many had been more conscious of their spending due to financial pressures, the campaign presented Dobbies as a magical, stress-free festive wonderland, where money is well-spent. “Find Your Christmust” highlighted the incredible feeling that finding that specific festive thing gives you. We used integrated channels to raise awareness of the range of products and experiences available at Dobbies, and the joy they can bring.
Spring's Our Thing
For our most recent spring campaign, we needed to make Dobbies famous for garden living and show our audience that it's the place to go for all they need to make the most of their gardens.
We know that people feel more optimistic in spring that at any other time of year, so we brought even more colour, positivity and unexpected delights to the season with Spring's Our Thing! Our motivational campaign showcased how the power of the garden can improve and enhance lives, rallying gardeners everywhere to dig deeper, grow greater and relax... relaxier!
